raw + rove is created by Stephanie Xu, a documentary and travel photographer. Based out of Toronto, Canada/ Geneva, Switzerland and exploring globally, she continuously focuses on people, moments, and stories. She completed a MSc in Media, Communications and Development from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2020, and currently works for the International Committee of Red Cross.

The name raw + rove stems from two unique aspects present in the photography. The photos are never edited, or processed once they have been captured on camera, thus the "raw"; while "rove" illustrates the endless wanderings and the ability to see thoroughly.
